Clement Michael Inobeme is a lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies, University of Ilorin. He joins the Department with over a decade of teaching experience, a strong academic foundation, and a commitment to advancing English language pedagogy.
He was born on the 18th of May, 1983 at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, to Mr and Mrs Michael Inobeme. A native of Okpekpe in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, he is the fifth child in a family of eight. His upbringing in a large household instilled in him the values of discipline, diligence, and intellectual curiosity that have defined his academic and professional path.
His formal education commenced at Ja’afaru L.E.A. Primary School, Zaria, from 1990 to 1996. He obtained his secondary education at Government Secondary School, Chindit Barracks, Zaria, between 1996 and 2002.
Mr Inobeme’s teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, relevance, and application. He believes that English should be taught as a functional tool for critical thinking, professional development, and national discourse, not merely as an examinable subject.
Beyond teaching and research, he is passionate about youth mentorship and educational development. He holds the conviction that effective education must build character alongside competence and scholarship.
