Joel I. Olaleye completed his PhD in English Language in 2018. He was a former Head of the Department of English, Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin-Kebbi. He currently holds a Lecturer I in the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He is currently the Departmental Coordinator for Postgraduate Programmes. He won both the Departmental and the Faculty of Arts Prizes as the best overall graduating student in 2001/2002 session. His research interests focus on theoretical and applied linguistics, specifically in the areas of Syntax, Semantics, and Stylistics. His works contribute to a deeper understanding of language structure, meaning, and style, with implications for language teaching, learning, and communication
